The future of BIM is bright it provides the industry with an increased understanding of predictability, improved efficiency, integration and coordination, less waste, and better value and quality. Additionally, the use of BIM goes beyond the planning and design phase of the project, extending throughout the building life cycle and supporting processes, including cost management, construction management, project management, and facility operation. Now heavily adopted in the U.S., Hong Kong, India, Singapore, France, Canada, and countless other countries, BIM is set to become a mandatory practice in building work in the UK, and this friendly guide gives you everything you need to make sense of it...

Now heavily adopted in the U.S., Hong Kong, India, Singapore, France, Canada, and countless other countries, BIM is set to become a mandatory practice in building work in the UK, and this friendly guide gives you everything you need to make sense of it fast.

  • Demonstrates how BIM saves time and waste on site
  • Shows you how the information generated from BIM leads to fewer errors on site
  • Explains how BIM is based on data sets that describe objects virtually, mimicking the way they′ll be handled physically in the real world
  • Helps you grasp how the integration of BIM allows every stage of the life cycle to work together without data or process conflict

Written by a team of well–known experts, this friendly, hands–on guide gets you up and running with BIM fast.

With Twinmotion everything is easy.  Everything is instantaneous in the 3D environment you choose, regardless of the type of project. Twinmotion is the perfect interactive tool to explore and share the environment, the atmosphere, the spaces of the site … to plan and decide, persuade and pre-sell, but also to make strategic choices upstream for the effective implementation of your project.

Controlling in real time the effects of wind, rain or clouds, Twinmotion allows very easy modeling of sites and 3D surfaces, and adding trees and plants, as well as the flow of vehicles or characters.

BIM Vision is a freeware IFC model viewer. It allows to view the virtual models coming from CAD systems like Revit, Archicad, Advance, DDS CAD, Tekla, Nemetschek VectorWorks, Bentley, and others without necessity of having commercial licenses of these systems or having each of particular vendor’s viewer. BIM Vision visualizes the BIM models created in IFC format 2×3. It has many built-in features and is the first viewer with plugin interface.

Some features :

  • viewing the model using structure of the design, element types and layers,
  • colouring of elements depending on type,
  • setting of transparency level, cutting and cross-section options,
  • 3D view, projection views and facade 2D view,
  • viewing properties assigned to the element in the IFC file,
  • digital take-off of the volume, area, length and distance,
  • comparing the models and showing the geometry changes and element properties,
  • support for touch screen, gestures and tablet mode option,
  • application interface for writing plugins.
